Insight Horn Group’s roots go very deep into Somaliland. Most of our administrators and staff originate or currently live in Somaliland. Livestock are the chief contributor to the local economy and are the cherished possessions of pastoralists in the country.

We have solid, proprietary relationships with pastoralists, veterinarians, livestock transporters and government officials.

We have access to herds of hundreds of thousands of sheep, goats, cattle, and camels that have achieved an age and weight that makes them prime for export.

Do to Somaliland’s location, our livestock are appreciated by importers, abattoirs, and farms in GCC countries and those of North Africa. Most can be reached in less than 4 days from the newly upgraded Port of Berber in Somaliland. The short journey places minimal stress on the animals.

Further, Somaliland is a Muslim country, so the livestock have been treated with their welfare as a prime concern. These animals are can be shipped anywhere, but they are particularly valued by importers wishing to enter them into a Halal meat processing abattoir.
